Topic Area 5 – Grants and Planning and Managing Technology Projects

Lessons Learned and Best Practices for Developing and Running Successful NSF Grant Projects

Topics for discussion will include: identifying potential funding sources; developing realistic goals and objectives; developing a good proposal; developing and nurturing grant partnerships; managing activities, personnel and budget; and assessment and evaluation issues. Best practices developed from lessons learning by the panel members will be the starting point for each topic. The panel consists of experienced and successful grant writers, principal investigators, project managers, and evaluators who are currently or have been involved in grant projects funded by both federal and state agencies.
