The American Association of Community Colleges with the support of the National Science Foundation will hold the twelfth national ATE Principal Investigators Conference, "Think Global, Act Local: U.S. Technicians as Part of the Global Workforce" at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC.  The conference will bring together approximately 750 people to focus on the critical issues related to advanced technological education.  Key people working on ATE projects across the country will participate in the conference.  Attendees represent community colleges, business and industry, secondary school systems, four-year colleges, and research and development centers covering projects in a wide variety of areas such as: information technology, engineering technology, natural resources management, chemical technology, biotechnology, and others. FL- ATE's delegation to the meeting will participate in the Centers' Showcase on Wednesday evening and will also facilitate a roundtable discussion on Thursday afternoon.
